Christian Youth In Action

Christian Youth In Action (CYIA) is a program designed to train high school and college age individuals in effective and engaging ways to teach children about God. Training is held for one to two weeks where individuals are taught to clearly present the Gospel on a child's level, counsel a child for salvation and lead a dynamic 5-Day Club program for kids.

How are you spending your summer?

As relaxing as it may be to relax at the pool or spend time with friends, what if you chose instead to make an eternal impact in the lives of children right where you live?

High school and college age individuals from around your state are coming together to reach the boys and girls of your community, and YOU can be a part of this team!

After one to two weeks of training, you will return to your local community and teach 5-Day Clubs at various locations with your team. These clubs take place out in the community with predominantly unsaved children who do not regularly attend a church. You will be able to take the light of the Gospel to them in their apartment complexes, day care centers, neighborhoods and other community locations. Summer ministry commitment is between 4-7 weeks, in which you will:

  • reach boys and girls with the Gospel

  • see your faith and vision grow deeper

  • build new and lasting friendships

  • grow in communication, teamwork, leadership, endurance, responsiblity and self-confidence

  • gain experience for ministry in your own local church, school or vocation

If you have a heart for ministry and want to team up with other young people to reach the children in Lycoming County then CYIA is for you!
